9 to 5

For the entirety for our married life, (6 years!!!) Riley has not had a normal 9-5 job. When we met he worked at an in between house for juvenile offenders, from then on he has been in the medical field, of sorts, which of course have always been open 24/7. We've always had to worry about whether he was going to work on Thanksgiving or Christmas. He ALWAYS worked Saturdays.
I am not complaining. We are grateful for the jobs he has had. But we are SSSOOOO grateful that he only has 2 more days in a job like that!!! On Thursday he starts a 9-5 job, getting to basically pick his own hours and can sometimes work from home! What?!
Here's to Thanksgiving AND Christmas with my husband for the first time EVER!!!
I suspect there will be a lot more of this going on.

Remember

As the battle for getting a brother or sister to Emmy wages on, I think..." will the taking over your brain calendaring, crying, 'wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin', plannin' dreamn' ever end?
Then I blow my nose and just watch Emmy for while.
We started to eat lunch today, ( fast Sunday) and she reminded us to pray.
A little sunbeam tried saying the prayer last Sunday and was scared and started to cry. When she sat back down, Emmy put her arm around her, rubbed her cheek and said, " It'll be okay. You must be very tired"
She helps me do hard things.
While making bread with me today she said, Mom this is fun! Like a mommy daughter date! Let's do it again next Sunday.
The list goes on.
I am thankful I have her.
I need to remember, that is good enough!

Alive and Well: Lava Hot Springs, Easter, AT

Loving the 'cow with horns' checking into our hotel.
Emmy couldn't wait to go to sleep in the big bed. The hotel was having it's 99th birthday, I assumed the bed shared the same birth year. Blah.

Recitals

It was so great to see all of my piano students at there finest. There were no tears, only a little of improv and a few start overs. SUCCESS!
I LOVE teaching Let's Play Music. Excited to see these kids on the piano this year.
